How it works:

1. Transmitting radar waves: the radar level gauge transmits microwave signals to the surface of the measured medium through the antenna.

2. Reflected radar wave: When the radar wave encounters the surface of the measured medium, a part of the energy will be reflected back.

3. Receive the reflected wave: the receiving antenna of the radar level gauge receives the reflected radar wave.

4. Measurement distance: According to the propagation time or frequency change of the radar wave, the distance between the antenna and the surface of the measured medium is calculated.

5. Convert to level: Convert the measured distance into the corresponding level value and display it on the instrument.
